Oh, no! Tom was driving along the 55 Main Road in Costa Mesa when his car rolled
over. He was driving too fast around a curve in the freeway, and his car went off the road
and rolled over. Luckily, no one was hurt. Tom is okay, but he is upset. The roof of his car is
damaged and the left door is broken. His wife does not like to drive with him. It is
dangerous! Tom called the police on his cell phone, and they are on the way. He didn’t want
to call to police. He also called his insurance company and his wife. His wife wants him to
go to the hospital for a medical examination. Tom thinks he’s okay, and he doesn’t want to
go to the hospital. He wants to go home. Should Tom go to the hospital for a medical
examination? What should he do next?

I had celebrated my last birthday in a very unusual way. I wanted to invite my friends for the party and birthday cake, and we were already planning all the details with my mother, but over sudden my small sister got seriously sick, and emergency took her with my mother to the hospital two days before my birthday. I felt myself lost, extremely worried about my sister, and helpless. All of my friends were already invited to the party and I didn’t know what to do. I called my best friend to talk about my problems and cancel the party, but he told me: “Let’s take the cake and go to the hospital!” Why didn’t I think about it myself? I called all my friends and asked them what did they think about the party in the hospital – and they all agreed to this plan. My father arranged the cake in the hospital, and some balloons for decoration, and also he invited a funny clown for all the children. The party was short, but very nice and filled with joy and happiness. We were playing games, laughing and eating my birthday cake, and I was very happy to be with my family, friends, and all the children from the hospital. 

My best friend's name is Andrew. We've been friends since kindergarten. He is 15 years old and we study at the same school but in different classes. Andrew has got blue eyes and blond hair. He is taller than me. He is cheerful and he is slow to take offence. Andrew doesn’t allow anyone to insult other people. We have a great deal in common, we listen almost to the same music and we regularly play table tennis after school. Andrew is a sociable, kind and modest person. Sometimes he is witty, but his jokes are never wicked. We always find interesting topics to discuss. Very often we visit each other at home. We always can help each other with homework, and we usually play computer and video games together.
