1 One day mother wrote a letter to the teacher because she had learned that her mother was ill and she had to visit her, so in her letter she asked for the teacher's permission to allow her elder daughter to bring her little sister to school. 
2 Nancy was happy because she was willing(=eager) to go to school. 
3 She put into her father's old bag а pencil and a note book.
4 After breakfast the girls went to school.
5 Nancy sat at Jack's place, because he was absent that day.
6 When she opened her bag  she took out her pencil and a copy-book.
7 The teacher didn't call Nancy's name because Nansy wasn't a pupil.
8 The little girl got up and said: 'I want a present'  
9 I think Nancy drew the teacher because she liked her.
10 When the lessons were over the girls went home.
