В сельской общине крестьянин рождался, жил, работал и умирал. В старину у крестьян не было тракторов и грузовиков, опылителей и комбайнов. Труд на земле был тяжелым, изнуряющим. Без поддержки односельчан выжить было в сотни раз тяжелее, иногда просто нереально. Тем более климатические условия в России можно отнести к разряду сложных. Потому изгнание из общины было суровым наказанием. За что же односельчане могли изгнать крестьянина?
Одним из самых порицаемых грехов было скотоложство (зоофилия). Если какого-то любитель курочек, телят или другой живности застигали на месте преступления, ему грозило немедленное изгнание из деревни или села.
