Die Kinder in den ukrainischen Schulen hatten viele Ferien und freie Tagen in dem Schuljahr gehabt. Die Ferien hatten in der Regel eine Woche gedauert.
Das Schuljahr hatte bei uns am 1. September begonnen. Und schon in der letzen Oktoberwoche hatten sich die Kinder erholt. Sie hatten Herbstferien gehabt. Diese Ferien hatten eine Woche lang gedauert. Das Wetter am Ende Oktober war noch ziemlich warm gewesen und wir hatten die Möglichkeit gehabt, im Hof zu spielen, zum Stadion zu gehen, zu reisen. Meine Herbstferien hatte ich gewöhnlich in der Stadt  verbracht, weil meine Eltern keinen Urlaub gehabt hatten. Ich hatte Computer gespielt, Bücher gelesen, Sport getrieben. Am Wochenende waren wir in den Wald gefahren. Wir hatten dort einen Picknick gemacht, Federball gespielt, Fußball gespielt. Ich hatte einen großen schönen Blätterstrauß gesammelt und ihn nach Hause gebracht. Ich hatte auch viele Fotos gemacht, weil die Natur im Herbst sehr schön gewesen war! Die Bäume im Wald waren bunt gewesen: rot, gelb, grün, braun. Die letzten warmen Tage hatten mir viel Spaß gebracht!
