Ночью  Тёма спит (спал) неспокойно, у него пропала собака. 
Он спрашивает няню:  "где Жучка?" -  Няня говорит, что  Жучку бросил в старый колодец какой-то ирод. И бросил живьем. Жучка весь день визжала из колодца.
У Темы мелькает масса планов, о том, как Жучку,  и незаметно для себя снова засыпает. Ему снится сон как он Жучку.
Потом он делает все так,  как увидел во сне, не смотря на то, что ему было страшно и холодно и пошел к колодцу Жучку.
Он звал Жучку. Она узнала голос хозяина, затем радостно завизжала.  Тёма очень обрадовался, что Жучка жива. Затем полез в колодец ее.
