Ты думаешь:
Принесу с собой
Усталое тело своё.
Сумею ли быть тогда с тобой
Целый день вдвоём?
Захочу рассказать о смертном дожде,
Как горела трава,
А ты-
и ты жила в беде,
Тебе не нужны слова.
Про то , как чудом выжил, начну,
Как смерть меня обожгла.
А ты –
ты в ночь роковую одну
Волгу переплыла.
Спеть по а ты сама
Забыла, как поют.
Потом меня сведёт с ума
Непривычный уют:
Будешь к завтраку накрывать,
А я усядусь в углу,
Начнёшь, как прежде стелить кровать,
А я усну на полу.
Потом покоя тебя лишу
Вырою щель у ворот,
Ночью, вздрогнув ,
тебя с Стой! Кто идёт?!
Нет,
не думай, что так приду.
В этой большой войне
Мы научились ломать беду,
Работать и жить вдвойне.
Не так вернёмся мы!
Если так,
То лучше не приходить.
Придём- работать,
курить табак,
В комнате начадить.
Не за благодарностью я бегу-
Благодарить лечу.
Всё, что хотел, я сказал врагу,
Теперь работать хочу.
Не за утешеньем –
утешать.
Переступлю порог.
То, что я сделал, к тебе спеша,
Не одолженье, а долг.
Друзей увидать, в гостях побывать,
И трудно
и жадно жить.
Работать – в кузницу,
Спать - в кровать.
