About  one hundred years ago it took a lot of time to travel from one town to the other. Sometimes it took weeks to get from one country to the other.The trip itself was dangerous and tiresome. As time passed everything changed.
Nowadays you can reach the other side of the planet  just in some hours. Now there is a wide choice of means of transport. You can travel by land, by sea,  by air. Of course the fastest way of travelling is by plane. It will take you only about six - nine hours to get to the USA, which is situated very far from our country!
Travelling by train or by car  is slower, than by plane, but you can enjoy picturesque landscapes during the trip.
Most people think that travelling is one of the most splendid things in the world.Travellig  gives us life experience. It broadens our mind and allows us to understand other people better, to see other countries and different sights, to taste unusual  and exotic food, improve some foreign language, meet new  people, make new friends,  take interesting photos and selfi . I like visiting new places, museums, churches, monuments and other sights.Travelling is useful and it's fun.

When we live in a particular country, we automatically become exposed and (accustomed) to a range of images and symbols embedded in songs and pictures, places, and traditions. The (ability) of students to recognise these images helps them to feel more (confident) and to become more fluent.
