Ulan 1) has been (working) very long hours lately and he 2) (has not seen) his friend Aidar for weeks. So one afternoon, he 3) (suggested) they go fishing together off the coast. As the boat left the harbour, the sun 4) (was shining) and a warm breeze 5) (was blowing). After they 6) (had been fishing) for a few hours, though, dark clouds 7) (appeared) above them. Then suddenly, lightning 8) (lit) up the sky. That morning, Ulan 9) (had forgotten) to check the forecast, and now they were caught in a thunderstorm!
