so всегда ставится перед прилагательным (какой? - добрый, плохой, замечательный) или наречием (как? - быстро, громко)

such используем перед существительным или прилагательным (хороший, интересный, веселый) в сочетании с существительным. Нельзя сказать such shy. Нужно обязательно добавить КТО/ЧТО является таким застенчивым.  

1. Whom did the teacher give a good mark? - The teacher gave Kevin a good mark.
2. Who was in Italy last month? - His uncle was in Italy last month.
3. Where were they yesterday evening? - They were in the park yesterday evening.
4. Who was late for lessons yesterday morning? - Helen was late for lessons yesterday morning.
5. Where were Helen and Martin yesterday? - Helen and Martin were at home yesterday.
6. Where were you during the last winter holidays? - I was in London during the last winter holidays.
7. Who was at the party yesterday? - All my friends were at the party yesterday.
8. When was Kevin last time in the USA? - Kevin was last time in the USA two years ago.
9. What time was Kate at the institute yesterday? - Kate was from 8 till 15 o'clock at the institute yesterday.
