Alexander Pushkin was the greatest russian poet and writter. He was born in Moscow into a family belonging to the " Cream" of Moscow society in 1799. Pushkin received his early education at home. At the age og eight he composed his first poem " Ruslan and Ludmila " and in 1820 became famous. Alexander created literary Russian, wrote a lot of poems. He had political views close to the ' Decembrists" Pushkin died after a duel in 1837. He was buried in Svyatogors Monastery near his family estate - Mikhailovskoye.
