1. I have sent those letters this week/morning. I have just sent those letters. (Present Perfect)
I sent those letters yesterday/a fortnight ago/last week. (Past Simple)
2. We have gone shopping today/this week. We have already gone shopping. (Present Perfect)
 We went shopping three days ago/ last month/the other day). (Past Simple)
3. They were in Kiev last year/2 years ago/ last Sunday. (Past Simple)
They have been in Kiev lately/this month.  (Present Perfect)
