Lion - record for altitude in the shoulders among all the cats. By weight, it is in second place after the tiger. However, these two types of skull shape is very similar, the differences are only in the structure of the lower jaw. Coloration varies from skin color Buffalo to yellowish, reddish or dark brown. The lower part of the body of a lion lighter than the top, the tip of the tail is black. Lion cubs born with brown spots on the body, like a leopard. When puberty these spots disappear, although some adults, especially in females, they are saved on the abdomen and legs.
