GUERNSEY MAN RESCUED FROM SEA BY CREW OF CARGO BOAT A 30-year-old man was rescued from the sea halfway between Guernsey and Herm in the early hours. A spokesman for Guernsey Police said that the accident happened when the man, James Norris, was fishing in his rubber boat when a huge wave with the severe wind turned his boat over. The alarm was raised by a cargo boat anchored in the Channel at about 02:00 BST after the crew heard shouts. After being rescued by the ship's boat, the man was taken to the Princess Elizabeth Hospital as he was found to be suffering from mild hypothermia.
