MERCURY Mercury takes 59 days to make a rotation but only 88 days to circle the
Sun. That means that there are fewer than 2 days in a year!
Many astronomers believe that Mercury might be the core of what was once a
much larger planet -- it appears to be a huge ball of iron covered by a thin layer
of rock.
Venus is the brightest planet in our sky and can sometimes be seen with the
naked eye if you know where to look. It is the solar system's brightest planet --
yellow clouds of sulfuric acid reflect the sun's light.
Mars is the home of "Olympus Mons", the largest volcano found in the solar
system. It stands about 27 kilometers high with a crater 81 kilometers wide.
Jupiter is the largest planet the solar system, but it spins very quickly
on its axis. A day on Jupiter lasts only 9 hours and 55 minutes. I get dizzy
just thinking about it!

Jupiter is so big that you could fit all the other planets in the solar system
inside it.
The red spot of Jupiter is the biggest, most violent storm in the known
universe -- that spot is at least three times the size of earth!

A young writer was walking the floor. He was trying to find a theme of a story. The story  was promised a redactor. The time was up but nothing had done. The young  author looked at bookcases. "Too many books had been written-thought he-all themes had been   used. For instanse, theese stories. They had been written a long time before my birthday. And they are good. Certainly, they were being read, they were told about, but now they are forgotten. What if... By the end of the day one of the forgotten tales was reprinted and sent. A letter from editor was sent the next day. Thats awful! wrote the editor- theese actions cant be understood and forgiven because this story was published in our magazine just 1 mounth before!

День города - это очень весёлый праздник.И я постаралась бы провести его тоже очень весело.Я пригласила бы всех своих друзей провести его вместе.В этот день в нашем городе проводятся различные увеселительные мероприятия.На главной площади выступают детские коллективы, проводятся всевозможные выставки и ярмарки.А я очень люблю выставки и обязательно побывала ба на каждой из них.У меня очень весёлые друзья и, я думаю, что мы  с удовольствием приняли бы участие в спортивных соревнованиях, которые тоже проводятся в эти дни.Однажды я уже принимала участие в таком соревновании и получила приз, который всегда напоминает мне об этом празднике.А вечером я обязательно посмотрела бы праздничный фейерверк.Я очень люблю праздник День города и жду его с нетерпением каждый год.
