Mikayla Shears was riding her horse across the fields at the farm (0) _A_ she and her parents live in Australia last November, when she saw something very
strange on the ground. ‘At first I was afraid to touch it!’ she said. ‘I thought
something may jump out of it!’ It was a 22 kilo ball (26) of lots of different
metal parts.
Mikayla called her dad and he came in a truck and drove it back to the
farmhouse. People don’t drive hundreds of miles across the desert area to leave
a metal ball in the middle of a field. ‘It dropped from above!’ he said. ‘I was
sure of that!’
Mikayla’s father emailed a photo of the ball to the Planet Museum. He was told
that the ball was possibly part of a rocket. Two days earlier a rocket (27)
by American engineers to fly an American satellite into space to study the
sun. Most
of it (28)into the sea after the satellite was safely in space, but maybe this
part didn’t.
‘I know (29)about cows and sheep,’ Mikayla said, ‘but I don’t know
anything about rockets. I want to find (30)more about them now. Perhaps
I’ll be an astronaut one day!’

At the beginning of the 19th century a little boy was born in the family of John Dickens, a clerk at an office in Portsmouth, and was named Charles. He had a sister who was older than himself, and there were several other children in the family. When Charles was seven, he was sent to school. He was not a strong child. He did not like to play cricket or football and spent all his free time reading. In 1821 the family went to London, and little Charles left behind him the happiest years of his childhood. His father was in money difficulties, and the family became poorer and poorer. The boy had to give up his studies. Mr. Dickens was put into a debtors' prison. Little Charles learned to know all the horrors and cruelty of a large capitalist city. He had to go to work at a blacking factory. He worked there from morning till night. When his father came out of prison, Charles was sent to school for some time. Soon he got work as a clerk. Then he learned stenography and became a reporter in Parliament. In 1836 at the age of 24 Charles Dickens published his first book. It was a collection of stories. The title of the book was "Sketches by Boz." These were followed by "Pickwick Papers" and "Oliver Twist" and many other famous novels. Charles Dickens is one of the greatest writers of the 19th century. His novels are now translated into most languages of the world.

On Friday, our class was an unusual day, because the last three lessons canceled because of the planned trip to the theater. In just a few days before the teacher warned us that the spectacle that we see is called "Pygmalion." She told us the ancient Greek myth about the legendary sculptor who fell in love with the statue he created Galatea. The power of love Pygmalion was so great that the statue came to life.
Drama Theater greeted us with a muffled roar of spectators gathering, bright light mnogolampovyh chandeliers and a sense of celebration. We anxiously await the start of the action. The performance was very instructive. In the role of Pygmalion before us appeared linguist, who this month promised to turn the poor girl flower girl in fashionable lady. His idea was a success, however, being rude and arrogant, he felt no attachment to his "creation" did not feel responsible for fundamental changes in the life of a girl. The play showed how important it is to be serious and indifferent when making important actions, especially if they relate to the fate of others.
We all really liked going to the theater. I would like to spend more time here and see the performances of all genres. Even I was surprised, really can be so wonderful to play, just like in life. This mysterious and fascinating world of high art can not leave anyone indifferent.
