The Russian civil war spanned the period 1917 to 1921. Conflict was being between the newly formed Bolshevik government  the anti Bolshevik forces in Russia.
the cause of the war was dissatisfaction  of Russia soldiers. They began withdrawing from the army and protesting against the war, along with the Bolsheviks.

Trotsky and Lenin were the main leaders  of the Bolsheviks. White-movement leaders were  Anton Denikin . Baron Wrangel and Alexander Kolchak.

The Bolsheviks won the war. April 9, 1865 is the official date of ending The Russian Civil War .
