The lion then went up to a parrot and said, (9) talkative you are! Tell me, who’s the king of the jungle?” (10) “ easy question!” said the parrot. “Why, you are, or course.”
Finally the lion went up to an elephant and said, (11) “ big ears you have! Tell me, who’s the king of the jungle?” (12) “ rude animal you are!” replied the elephant, lifting the lion with its trunk, swinging him in the air and throwing him on the ground.
The lion, picking himself up, exclaimed, (13) “ bad-tempered elephant you are! There’s no need to be so ride just because you don’t know the answer!”
