определенный артикль the: Did you enjoy the party? - Тебе понравилась вечеринка?

два неопределенных артикля в английском:

- артикль a - употребляют, если следующее слово начинается с согласной: I’m reading a book about England - я читаю книгу об Англии

- артикль an - если слово, стоящее после него, начинается с гласной: I read an interesting story - я читала интересную историю

“zero article” (нулевой артикль в английском языке) – это отсутствие артиклей: Does she like meat or fish? - Она любит мясо или рыбу?

Артикли в английском языке могут стоять непосредственно перед существительным:

She is an artist - она художник

Кроме того, артикли в английском могут быть отделены от существительного с наречия или прилагательного:

the newly renovated church - недавно отреставрированная церковь

a beautiful young woman - красивая молодая женщина
