While you wait for an item you can do other important things you need to do. The minuses are that you don't know the quality of an item, and, if we speak about clothing, whether it suits you. For example, you have your food chosen for you so you don't know if it's fresh or not.
I ordered a comic book some time ago. I clicked on a bookstore and searched for the one I wanted. Then I clicked 'buy now' button and proceeded to the form where I had to fill in the address and my credit card number. Then it was done!
