My Collection Hobbies in most people’s lives occupy important place. In this case I’m not an exception. My hobby from the very early age is collecting stamps and coins from different countries. Most of the samples were given to me by my father who in his turn liked collecting them when he was younger. His collection was full of celebrity pictures, football players, museums of the world, etc. He was a real philatelist. Even though I occasionally fill this collection up, I still haven’t got as many stamps as he had. The collection of coins is my next hobby. It all started when my parents brought me some foreign money from their trip to Rome. After that I asked all my friends and relatives who traveled to other countries to bring me some authentic coins. At the moment my collection is rather impressive. I have eurocents, Australian cents, Chinese yuans and many other coins. You can say I’m an amateur collector, but those who collect coins on professional level are called numismatists. And yet it’s not all that interests me. Two years ago I started collecting cute spoons from different cities and countries. They are usually silver - or golden-plated and contain tiny inscriptions or jewels on them. To be honest it’s the most beautiful collection at my home. My first spoon was from England. I bought it when we were on school trip there with our class tutor and school headmaster. After that wherever I saw a nice teaspoon with symbolic meaning, I bought it. Besides, my parents brought me some from different angles of the world. 

On the night of October 31 to November 1, Halloween is celebrated in the United States and Canada, an ancient Celtic holiday, also called the Eve of All Saints Day. Today, many Americans have long ceased to wear "scary" costumes, replacing them with role-playing outfits. It's now fashionable on Halloween to dress up as a superhero, celebrity, or even the president of a country. It was believed that the souls of deceased relatives descend to earth to visit their families, but the spirits of witches, sorcerers and other wickedness also descend with them.

On the day of the celebration, people try to decorate the house to make it as creepy as possible in order to attract more attention. There are also many traditions that must be observed on this day. For example, do it yourself a pumpkin lantern or a pumpkin lamp. The same lamp that saves you from evil spirits! They cut out the whole inside of the pumpkin, cut holes so as to make an ominous face, and set candles or small lanterns inside. Such an unusual pumpkin composition even has its own name - Jack's lamp. There is also a tradition that many people could hear about, from movies or cartoons, this is the phrase "Prank or disgusting." Children say this phrase when the door is opened for them, be it a store or a residential building.

There is also a Halloween parade in New York, which is traditionally held on October 31st. The official start of the parade is at 7 pm, but the parade really does not start until 8 pm. If you do not have a costume and do not plan to participate in the parade, then you are making a huge mistake. Because it is not very interesting to stand at the curb and watch the parade. It is interesting to walk in a crowd of people in costumes, get to know each other, take pictures with each other, dance and sing! And those who prefer to have fun with friends throw parties. Everyone usually comes to the party after the parade or straight from home. The indigenous people of New York stop attending this event with age, and are limited only to parties. But given the fact that every year everyone comes to New York and people come, the Halloween parade will not have problems with attendance for a very long time!

However, already on November 1, the whole holiday disappears at the snap of your fingers. And everything becomes like a normal day, but there are many impressions left, because Halloween is full of various entertainment.
