A Working Wanderer
Do you want to spend your summer travelling while working at the same time?
Are you a nature lover ?
Then, WWOOF is the way to go! WWOOF stands for World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms. It gives everyday people the chance to work on farms owned by organic farmers and smallholders in return for food and accommodation.
This organic movement, , aims to support organic growers who are trying to influence consumers in a positive way. Volunteers have to register and join the WWOOF organisation of the country they would like to offer their services in.
Then, after discussing the length of their stay with their host, they assist with a variety of tasks like sowing seeds, gardening, planting, weeding, feeding animals .
WWOOF has become very popular in a number of countries around the globe and is still growing among people with a similar goal; the continuous improvement of a better and healthier environment.
Volunteers have given thousands of hours of hard work to help organic growers, and these farmers have given their time by opening the door to a way of living .
It’s an enjoyable experience of making new friends and exchanging knowledge while making a difference to the world!
