2. I was keeping watch when the captain came to navigating bridge. He looked through the weather report and then asked me to take bearings of the nearest ship.
3. While I was taking bearings the captain decreased the ship's speed and phoned to the radio-room. "Who is keeping watch at the moment?" he asked. "Radio officer Orlov is."
4. The captain wrote a short telegram and asked Orlov to transmit it immediately.
5. "What is the Chief radio officer doing now?"
"He is repairing a radio direction finder."
"Tell him to come to the navigating bridge when he is free".
