New Year is one of the most beloved and cherished holidays of the year. Both adults and children like celebrating this day. In most countries it traditionally falls on the night of December 31st. Starting from the end of November all the shops, offices and other places in the street wear special, festive decorations and remind a fairy tale. As for my family, we start decorating the house in the middle of December. My father usually buys a tall fir-tree and sets it up in the living-room. My brother and I happily decorate it with bright thematic toys, garlands and confetti. At midnight my dad fills everyone’s glasses with champagne and says the toast to welcome the coming year. We also turn on the TV to hear the chimes.
