person to ride a skateboard across Australia. He
set a new world record by riding a skateboard
for a total of 5,823 kilometers. In 2003, Jack Smet, a former

Dave's journey began in Perth and ended in Brisbane,
travelling an average of 60 kilometres a day. It took
him five months, 13 pairs of shoes, and more than a dozen tubes

on a piece of metal that cut his heel. He also had a nasty fall down a hill where he banged his head hard on the pavement and twisted his ankle.
