The Minotaur

was a terrible monster with the body of a man, and the head of a bull. It lived on the Crete Island in the labyrinth. The citizens of Athens
were
sacrificed ( принести в жертву )seven young boys and seven young girls to the Minotaur every nine years.

One day it was once again time to send the children to Crete. Theseus, prince of Athens,
told that he wanted to go with them and kill the monster. But noone could find the exit from the labyrinth. There were no escape...
