Well, I can't certainly answer for this question. Most of the children in nowadays listening to music. But, it's not a folk music, as we could expect. Just some kind of Pop, Rap etc.
Most of them doesn't like to listen something else. No, of course there's we have some part of the children, that likes to listen and being satisfied with folks music, but unfortunately, they are few. Appreciate the past music industry, don't fill dirt in your ears.
