The US government can be compared with a tree because the trunk is the people and the branches are the Congress, the President with his helpers and the Supreme Court. The US Congress is a meeting of representatives of all the states which is divided into two parts: the Senate and the House of Representatives. Each state sends two people to the Senate no matter how large or small it is. All the states send people to the House of Representatives and their number depends on the population of the state.
