He became a doctor on a ship named the Antelope. On May 4, 1699, Gulliver sailed from Bristol for the South Seas as a doctor on a ship. When the ship crashed into the rocks, he fell into the sea. Gulliver was swimming for a very long time, and finally he walked out of the sea to a beach. He lay down and fall asleep. When Gulliver woke up, he saw many small men. He was in the country called Lilliput.
