The best friends should normally have much in common or be of the same character or have the same habits. But very often they just should like to be together.
And now about my best friend. Her name is Lyudmila. We became friends in the school. We like the same literature and the same films. We are of the same age and naturally have much in common. As for her character, first of all she is a good friend. I admire her for being clever, active, reliable, well-read and hardworking. She is communicative and pleasant to deal with. Lyudmila can help me any time I need her help and if I have a problem connected with my family she always tries to advise me something. She is very honest and just, understanding and kind. I trust her a lot and I’m sure I can rely upon her in any situation. She never lets people down. Besides she isn’t a chatterbox so I can entrust her my secrets. Of course, no man is ideal, so my friend’s main shortcoming is that she is too sure of herself, so she sometimes gets into unpleasant situations but I think this trait of character helps her in her life. We spend a lot of our free time together and when we meet we like going shopping and talking about everything. Normally we discuss films, lessons, sport events, computer games and so on. We like to be together and I think this friendship will last long as it is very important for me.
