My Future Profession Is A JournalistМоя будущая профессия - журналистEvery person wants to choose the right profession, because the largest part of life is connected with some occupation. When the person enjoys what he is doing, we say he took the right path. Most teenagers are worried about the final exams and career choice, as they understand how important this decision is for their future life. I’m no exception. My parents advise me to follow my heart. They know that working for money can quickly become tiresome, while working for pleasure never does. Taking into consideration my love for writing and curious nature, I made up my mind to become a journalist. I know, I won’t regret it, because it’s the most interesting occupation in the world. I have always been the part of school newspaper, as I like finding up-to-date information and writing articles about it. Moreover, I like drawing caricatures and thinking of funny jokes about school life. My teachers find me creative and a bit extraordinary. I think that’s a positive sign in the field of modern journalism. People want to hear and see unusual things. At the same time they want to stay informed about current events within the country and around the world. So, I think that journalists will always be demanded in the society. Other than that, the representatives of this profession should be genuinely interested in other people’s lives. That’s why they think of numerous questions for interviews with the celebrities. Having an inquisitive mind, I’d be more than happy to hold an interview with an outstanding person. In conclusion, I’d like to say that life would be dull without journalists.

A letter to an English friend about summer holidays

Dear Ann,

Thank you for your kind letter. I was so glad to receive it.

You ask me to tell you a few things about my summer holidays.Well. In June I was in Moscow with my mum. My aunt lives there. I would like to write that Moscow is a very beautiful and big city. I went for a walk with my friends, went on weekends with my family. We enjoyed Gorki Park, went on a picnic, and took a lot of photos. We also went to the cinema and watched a fantastic film. I had a good time! As for July I spent it in a summer camp. Those were the best weeks of the summer. I met new friends. We went to the forest, sang songs, and went in for sports, swam. During my summer holidays I made many new friends, read a lot of interesting books, knew a lot of useful things. Now I feel ready to get back to school. I am happy to meet my friends and teachers.
