Some people say that one language for everyone on earth would be perfect, whereas others do not agree. They consider it boring and a great loss.
I think that having one language would not be a really good idea. First of all, every language reflects some traits of nation characters that speaks it. It would be a pity to lose them. Second, since people are all different and they need different languages to express themselves. One language can not contain all features of thousands of unique personalities. Having one language also would be boring. People probably would not learn new languages and culture
At the same time there are people who say that if we had one language, we would communicate more easily. We would not have to learn additional languages and save a lot of time for doing other things. The world would be more open for everyone.
