чтобы это решить нужно поставить глаголы в правой части страницы в такую форму, чтобы подходило под приложения в тексте слева
например первое:
1. unfortunately, we were short of time and couldn't listen to the end of the story.
Перевод: к сожалению, у нас было мало времени и не смогли дослушать до конца историю
глагол справа "fortunately" превратился в "unfortunately" потому-что по тексту можно понять что у них не хватило времени на что либо, если бы там оставить fortunately, то это будет значить к счастью, а наоборот выходит unfortunately, надеюсь что-то из этого было понятно.
