is Nikita. I live in Kirov and go to school No 8. Our school is 27 years old. It is big and has got three floors, many classrooms, two gyms, a library, a canteen, a swimming pool and a big hall.

I think our English classroom is the most comfortable. There are pictures of London sights on the wall. There are green flowers on the bookcases. There are curtains on the windows; there is a computer on the teacher’s table. The classroom is light and always clean.

Our English teacher, Elena Anatolievna, works in this room. All students love her because she is a very good teacher. She is merry, creative, kind, understanding, and careful but sometimes she is strict when students are naughty. She knows English well and her lessons are always interesting.

You see, we do many things at our lessons: learn words and grammar rules, learn English poems by heart, translate from Russian into English, read texts, answer the questions, answer our teacher’s questions, write exercises in our copy-books and on the blackboard, make up dialogues, tell the stories, listen to English songs and sing them, do crossword puzzles and make up our own crosswords, describe pictures, watch films and cartoons in English, play games, draw pictures, make projects.

As for me, I am fond of our English student’s book. It is “Enjoy English”. It is interesting because it has many pictures, texts and different exercises.

I enjoy making dialogues and watching films very much. I have already learnt many words. I want to know English better because I want to speak English well.

I always take part in English contests. And I am the winner of the school Olympiad. You know, I am a good student. I have only excellent and good marks in all subjects. But my favourite subject is English. I get only fives.
