Из всех языков мира он является, вероятно, самым богатым по словарному составу. Он заимствовал много слов из французского и латыни,  греческого, испанского, итальянского, и даже русского языка. Теперь английский язык - первый язык или родной язык в англо-говорящих странах. Он стал вторым языком в таких странах как Индия, Нигерия и Сингапур. Также есть английский язык как иностранный язык. Люди преподают и учат английский язык как иностранный язык в Европе и Азии, в Африке и Южной Америке, другими словами, во всем мире.
