My school has three floors. It is quite big with a sport ground behind it. On the ground floor there are the classrooms for the primary-school pupils, workshops, a library. Our school library is nice and clean. Two librarians help pupils to find books they need. There are many bookcases and bookshelves full of books there. If you enter the school and turn to the right you'll see a big light dining-room. It is always busy and noisy, but it is clean and pupils and their teachers like to have their lunch here. There are blue curtains on the windows and beautiful pictures on the walls. There is a gymnasium on the ground floor as well. Our physical training lessons are held there. Pupils like to go there even after the lessons, because it has a lot of sports equipment.

Our school has many classrooms. The classrooms are light and spacious. There are three large windows in each classroom with flower pots on the window sills. Each room has a teacher's table, pupils desks, a blackboard, tables and charts. On the wall, there are maps and posters or portraits. There are special classrooms for Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, Geography, English, and Russian. On the third floor there is a big assembly hall. A lot of meetings, concerts, festivals are held there. Our classroom is on the second floor. Its windows face the school-yard.

When I think about my school, I don't remember its walls and desks; these are my teachers and classmates who will always be with me. I am so grateful to our teachers for what they have done for us and continue to do.

В моей школе три этажа. Он довольно большой, за ним спортивная площадка. На первом этаже расположены классы для учащихся начальных классов, мастерские, библиотека. Наша школьная библиотека хорошая и чистая. Два библиотекаря ученикам найти нужные им книги. Там много книжных шкафов и книжных полок, полных книг. Если вы войдете в школу и повернете направо, то увидите большую светлую столовую. Здесь всегда шумно и многолюдно, но чисто, и ученики с учителями любят здесь обедать. На окнах голубые занавески, на стенах красивые картины. На первом этаже также есть тренажерный зал. Там проходят наши уроки физкультуры. Школьники любят ходить туда даже после уроков, потому что там много спортивного инвентаря.

В нашей школе много классных комнат. Классы светлые и просторные. В каждом классе есть три больших окна с цветочными горшками на подоконниках. В каждой комнате есть учительский стол, парты учеников, классная доска, таблицы и диаграммы. На стенах висят карты, плакаты или портреты. Есть специальные классы по химии, физике, биологии, истории, географии, английскому и русскому языкам. На третьем этаже находится большой актовый зал. Там проходит много встреч, концертов, фестивалей. Наш класс находится на втором этаже. Окна его выходят на школьный двор.   Когда я думаю о своей школе, я не помню ее стен и парт; но мои учителя и одноклассники всегда будут со мной. Я так благодарна нашим учителям за то, что они сделали для нас и продолжают  делать.

I always look forward to my summer holidays. In my opinion, there's nothing like the Russian countryside. We've got a small country house in a very picturesque place not far from Zagorsk. There's a river and a lake there. My friends and I often go swimming and boating there. I'm also fond of lying in the sun.There's a lot of fish in the lake, so I sometimes go fishing. I like to sit in silence for a while waiting for a fish to get caught and listening to the birds singing in the trees. When I happen to catch a fish I set it free at once, because I do fishing just for pleasure.When it's very hot I usually go to the forest. The air is cool there. I like to walk in the shade of the trees and pick mushrooms and berries. I've got a dog called Jack. He becomes so happy when I take him with me to the forest.Jack likes to run after butterflies or dragonflies. I sometimes play with him. I throw a stick and he brings it back to me.But last summer my parents decided to go to some other place for a change. They made up their minds to go to the Crimea. I think it was the greatest mistake they had ever made. This, in a nutshell, is what happened.To begin with, it was very difficult to find a place to stay. We rented a room in a house a long way from the sea. It was the only place we managed to get. It took us about half an hour to get to the beach. But it didn't matter, as it turned out a few days later. Suddenly our happy sunny days were over. It started to rain. It occasionally cleared up for a while but then the rain went on again. All we could do was to spend all our time in the cinema or in a cafe. It was impossible to leave because we had made reservations beforehand and we had to spend another week there. I had never seen so many films in my life. By the end of the week I got very tired of the cinema and I could only lie on the bed reading books or staring at the ceiling.
