Summer is my favorite season. It is a great pleasure to have a rest after a whole year of study.

I spent my summer holidays in the village. It’s such a beautiful place with a river and a forest nearby. I was happy to see my grandmother and grandfather. We spent very much time on the riverbank. Once we went to the forest to gather some berries and mushrooms. The summer forest is very beautiful. One day was a fishing day with my grandfather and his friend, it was wery interesting and then we were eating a fish soup. Every evening I helped my granny in the garden.

My name is Ekaterina. I’m twelve years old. I want to tell you about my mother. Her name is Elena. Her second name is Mihaylovna. She was born in Moscow. My mother graduated from Moscow State University. She works as a lawyer but now she looks after my younger sister. She is only one year old. In spite of all the troubles with my sister she always manages to do everything: to tidy our flat, cook delicious dinner and she always has time for talking to me. My mother is kind, loving, affectionate and caring. She can give me a piece of advice and help at any time. It feels cosy and cordial next to her. My mother is a good housewife. She teaches me how to sew, knit and bake pies. I missed her when I was staying with my grandfather and  grandmother. I can’t live without her. She is the dearest person in my life. When I grow up I want to be like her.Меня зовут Екатерина. Мне 12 лет. Хочу рассказать о своей маме. Её зовут Елена Михайловна. Она родилась в городе Москва. Моя мама окончила Московский Государственный университет. Она работает адвокатом, но сейчас она занимается моей младшей сестрой, которой всего один год. И хотя с сестрой много хлопот, она всегда всё успевает: наведёт в квартире чистоту и порядок, приготовит вкусный обед и всегда находит время просто поговорить со мной. Моя мама добрая, нежная, ласковая и заботливая. В любой момент даст хороший совет и во всём Рядом с ней тепло и уютно. Мама очень хорошая хозяйка. Она многому меня учит: шить, вязать и печь пироги. Когда я одна ездила в гости к бабушке с дедушкой, то очень по ней скучала. Я просто не могу без неё жить. Она самый родной и дорогой мне в жизни человек! Когда я вырасту, хочу быть похожей на неё.
