It seems 1) unthinkable (THINK) today not to provide children with a decent 2) education (EDUCATE).There is such an emphasis on 3) academic (ACADEMY) achievement these days that it's easy to forget what a problem 4) illiteracy (LITERATE) used to be. Being unable to read can be 5) intensely (INTENSE) embarrassing and can make someone feel like a complete 6) failure (FAIL). Someone who can't read is often 7) understandably (UNDERSTAND) afraid of certain situations. The problem can seem 8) insolvable (SOLVE). However, given the right teacher, a lot of hard work and a 9) reasonable (REASON) amount of time, anyone can learn. Being able to read can lead to an 10) improved (IMPROVE) quality of life.
My Favourite Film
My favourite film is "Maleficent". Disney Studio made it in 2014. This amazing fantasy film is based on the famous fairy-tale "Sleeping Beauty". In the tale Maleficent is a scary evil character, but in the film we feel sorry for her because we learn why she became so evil. We see Maleficent as a pretty girl at the beginning and quite a beautiful woman later in the story. Angelina Jolie played the role of Maleficent very well.
It is a beautiful film and I like it very much.

В сказке Малефисента - пугающий злой персонаж, но в фильме нам ее жаль, потому что мы узнаем, почему она стала такой злой. Мы видим Малефисенту как симпатичную девушку в начале и довольно красивую женщину позже. Анджелина Джоли отлично сыграла роль Малефисенты.
