In every family there are conflicts. And it is quite normal, because people are different, they have their own interests, their ideas, their principles, they want different things, they have different ideas and different opinions.Very often people are in conflict, because they do not listen to each other. They think about what they want to say, and did not really hear what the other person says. The most common conflict in the family is a disagreement between parents and children.
Parents do not understand their children, the children do not understand their parents. Sometimes parents want to help with advice, idea, but it is not always properly presented, they begin to impose their views, it does not always want to listen to the ideas of the child. And so the vicious circle, the parents prove their children - their own, and the unwillingness of any one party to listen to each other and cause conflicts in families.

At the time I first MET Mr. Alien in 1990, he CONSIDERED the possibility of studying foreign languages again. He HAS FORGOTTEN everything that he HAD LEARNT about Latin and French at school. The languages that he WANTED to learn at that time WERE Spanish and Portuguese. He WAS going to study those languages in the Department of General Education at New York University. Therefore, he ENROLLED that school in 1991.

After my friend HAD FINISHED studying at New York University he DECIDED to go to South America for a year. Because he HAD NEVER BEEN there before, he ENJOYED visiting the famous cities of Brazil and Argentina. He LIKED Sao Paulo so much that he CONSIDERED staying there much longer. Before that time he HAD always HOPED to find a place with an ideal climate. Therefore, Sao Paulo SEMEED to be a real paradise. However, he SPENT all his money and was FORCED to return.

Now my friend Mr. Alien IS PLANNING to visit France next year. He IS LEAVING for Paris on March 15. Mr. Alien WILL also VISIT Germany on the same trip. He REALISES that he must learn French and German before he GOES to Europe. At present he IS TAKING a course in French in preparation for the trip. He THINKS that French IS quite easy. Of course he HAS NEVER BEEN in France before, so he HAS a little opportunity to hear French. He WORKS very hard at his French every day. He WILL STUDY German at New York University next semester. I am sure that he WILL HAVE no language problem in the other countries when he GETS there. Many people in those countries UNDERSTAND English or French.
