Hi! My name’s Laura. I’m 14 years old. I live in a big city in Kazakhstan Pavlodar. I think

life in a big city is fantastic. I like going to the theatre or cinema and visiting museums. I love pop music and there are usually pop concerts in the city. We go to the concerts with my friends.

One thing I don’t like about the city is the traffic. There are always lots of cars and buses in

Pavlodar and they make a lot of noise.

My best friend Azamat lives in a small village near Pavlodar. Azamat thinks life in the

countryside is very nice. There’s no traffic. People can work outdoors.

It is calm, silent and peaceful in the countryside. There’s more oxygen in the air because

there are a lot of trees around. You can see wonderful flowers everywhere. There is a beautiful

lake and a wonderful forest near his village. He usually goes rowing in the lake.

We like walking in the forest or swimming in the lake.

Улица Федерации - лица очень колоритная: здесь соседствуют старинные дореволюционные дома и современные строения, кафе, рестораны и темные подворотни. По ней приятно прогуливаться: здесь мало автомобилей, тихо и спокойно.

Улица Плеханова - располагается в историческом центра города, недалеко от набережной реки Волга. Она совсем небольшая, протяженностью менее одного километра. Начинается от ул. Спуск Халтурина и заканчивается в непосредственной близости от Соборной площади. Прогуливаясь по улице, по левой стороне можно увидеть больницы и гостиницу, а с правой стороны находится несколько ночных клубов и Владимирский сад, который является излюбленным местом отдыха горожан. Здесь можно покататься на аттракционах, взять напрокат велосипеды, посетить кафе или летний кинозал. В Филармонии, на территории сада, проходят концерты и фестивали классической и современной музыки.

Улица Гончарова - Данная улица располагается в Ленинском районе города и является одной из главных улиц в Ульяновске. Начинается она от площади 30-летия Победы и заканчивается транспортным кольцом у бульвара Пластова. Изначально называлась Большой Садовой, свое нынешнее название она получила в 1941 году, в честь русского писателя Ивана Александровича Гончарова. В 1960 году масштабная реконструкция улицы, согласно которой были снесены некоторые старинные здания.
