1. The earth became rock-hard and a lot of plants died. I could hardly breathe.
2.It was about two metres deep and we watched as our furniture just floated away. The postman had to use a boat to get around.
3.The walls began to move visibly, and large cracks opened up in the ground.
4.Some big trees were uprooted like match sticks.
5.The heat was incredible and we watched as the red hot lava came down the mountain.
