Useful language for writing stories
Use a variety of past tenses: the past simple, past
continuous, past perfect simple and continuous,
and used to/would.
Use participle clauses:
Looking up, she saw
After looking up, she saw
Having looked up, she saw
Use linkers of time and sequence:
Last weekend, Three years ago, On Friday
At first, Next, Then, After that, Finally,
In the end
Use adjectives and adverbs to make the story
more descriptive.
