It was wonderful because we were able to go to the amazing Rio Carnival which attracts holidaymakers from all over the world.
It was obvious that people must have been preparing for months beforehand because the costumes (design) beautifully and (decorate). I’d never seen the samba (dance) so brilliantly.
The main part of the carnival took place in the Sambadrome, which is a huge stadium. We watched the vast numbers of schools competing for prizes which (award) for the most impressive performance and costumes. Outside the stadium there was a lot noise which (make) by a number of dancers along the streets.
It was definitely the best holiday I’ve ever had and I look forward to being able to go there again when I’m older.
