Объяснение:

"How much"- используется с неисчисляемыми существительными (uncountable nouns).

Пример:  How much tea?(Сколько чая? ) Но это не значит что только чай неисчисляемое существительное.

"How many"- используется с исчисляемыми существительными (countable nouns).

Пример:  How many balls? (Сколько мячей?) То есть мы можем их числами ( 1, 2, 3 и т. д).
