Владельцы могут рекламировать то, что они выбирают. Трудно сказать, что СМИ не пытаются поднять культурный уровень народа, или развить их художественный вкус. СМИ приносят в миллионы домов не только развлечения и новости, но и культурные и образовательные программы. Существуют более шести телевизионных каналов и множество радиостанций и газет в настоящее время в России.
