Thanks for your letter. Sorry I haven't been in touch for so long, I was busy with my school. That's awesome that you're going to visit Russia! 
Well, I think that you can do a lot of things in two days, even though it takes much longer time to explore the city. You should definitely see Palace Square and walk on Nevsky Prospect, Also you should visit Peterhof and Hermitage and, it's really interesting there.
Have you been in Russia before? Aren't you afraid of cold? It's pretty cold in winter in this city. Are you excited for your trip?

Я познакомился с Андреем, когда он пришёл (был новеньким ) в нашу начальную школу. Как только он вошел в класс, всем стало ( было) понятно (очевидно), что он очень перспективный спортсмен. Вскоре его пригласили  в команду по легкой атлетике, так как он показал высокий( выдающийся ) результат в школьных соревнованиях по бегу. Удивительно,но будучи в команде легкой атлетики, он победил в соревновании по дзюдо довольно легко.К сожалению, следующей зимой ему не очень повезло: Андрей сломал ногу, катаясь на сноуборде. Однако он выздоровел/ поправился очень скоро и был как никогда быстр. В интервью спортивному журналу, Андрей сказал, что он регулярно занимается спортом с четырех лет и обязан своим успехом отцу, который всегда поддерживал и поощрял его.
