Wales occupies the western part of the island of Great Britain. It is slightly smaller in size than the state of Massachusetts. Wales lies west of England and is separated from England by the Cambrian Mountains. Wales is surrounded by water on three sides: to the north, the Irish Sea; to the south, the Bristol Channel; and to the west, Saint George's Channel and Cardigan Bay. The English counties of Cheshire, Shropshire, Hereford, Worcester, and Gloucestershire border Wales on the east. Wales is generally hilly; the Snowdon range in the northern part culminates in Mount Snowdon (3,560 ft, 1,085 m), Wales's highest peak. The island of Anglesey is also considered a part of Wales and is separated from the mainland by the Menai Strait. Wales covers an area of 8,020 square miles (20,760 square kilometers) and extends 137 miles (220 kilometers) from its most distant points and varies between 36 and 96 miles (58 and 154 kilometers) in width. The capital, Cardiff, is located in the southeast on the Severn Estuary and is also the most important seaport and shipbuilding center.
It has such beautiful farmland, mountains, valleys, and rivers that one-fifth of the country is designated as national parkland. The country's vegetation is mostly grasslands and forests. The rugged Cambrian Mountains dominate the northern two-thirds of the country. The central and southern parts of the country are made up of plateaus and valleys. Roughly 80 percent of the Welsh population live in cities. The most populous area is the south, an industrial region containing the cities of Swansea, Cardiff, and Newport.

I think everybody has an idol, a person you admire. I have an idol, too.
His name is Huang Guofu. Despite the lack of hands , a Chinese artist named Huang Guofu creates stunning images that have already received numerous awards.
His hands 42 -year-old man lost in a powerful electric shock when he was four years old. Since childhood dream professionally Chinese painting. And he was able to make this vision a reality - at the age of twelve Juan learned to paint with his feet.
At eighteen Guofu had to earn a living, because his father was ill . Throwing his studies , he began to travel around the country and draw directly on the fabric of city streets that are usually sold to passersby . It was at this period of his life, the artist learned how to work , holding a brush in his mouth.
Huang Guofu, was the founder of the community for the same as he did , and artists. The man is a true inspiration , who by his own example demonstrates the human fortitude .

В одну из суббот года мои лучшие друзья Эми, Мария, Грег, Энди и я решили провести выходные в большом, старом городском доме моего дяди. На улице было пасмурно, поэтому мы решили провести приятный вечер общаясь друг с другом в гостиной на нижнем этаже.

Внезапно случился порыв сильного ветра. Свет замерцал и потом погас совсем. Я спросил: "Что это было?" "Не волнуйся из-за этого, Джон, это всего лишь отключение электричества", заверил меня Грег. Мы засмеялись и стали рассказывать страшные истории в темноте. Через некоторое время произошла яркая вспышка света, которая осветила всю комнату. Было тяжело дышать. "Энди пропал!" закричала Эми.

Мы все были озадачены и испуганы, потому что никто не видел как Энди покинул комнату. Мы обошли дом, зовя Энди, но никто не откликнулся. Мы вернулись в гостиную и стали думать, что же нам делать. Только потом мы услышали громкий храп из угла комнаты. В то мгновение свет включился. Это был Энди, быстро заснувший на большом, бархатном диване!

Энди сонно сел, потерая глаза. "Очень хорошо, свет включили!" сказал он. "Я был сонным и будто задремал. Я не хотел никого беспокоить, поэтому я переполз сюда." Мы успокоились.

 

One Saturday last winter, my best friends Amy, Maria, Greg, Andy and I decided to spend the weekend in my uncle's house. The weather was bad, so we sat in the living room and talked to each other. Suddenly, the lights went out. We weren't frightened and started to tell scary stories in the dark. There was a bright flash of lightning and we understood that Andy missed. We were very scared, but than listen to a loud snore from the corner of the room. When the lights came back on, we saw that it was   

asleep Andy. We were all very relieved.
