I would like to live in a house on the outskirts of our city but that is a dream of mine. In reality I live in a five-storey block of flats not far from the city centre.
The best thing about our block of flats is its large yard with maples, linden trees and lilac shrubs. There is a children's playground and a small fountain in the yard. When I was younger I played with my friends there. There are a lot of other five- and seven-storey buildings around my block of flats. There are wide and narrow streets between them, some of them have parking lots. There are a few shops near my place. In the shops we usually buy everything we need, but my mum likes to go to the market to buy fresh vegetables there. The market is just three blocks away from our home. There is also a big stadium not far from my place. When there is a football match or a competition there I can hear chants and cheers of the fans. But my favourite place in our neighbourhood is a large park where my family and I often ride our bikes or walk in the evenings.
I do not think that I will stay here all my life, but I know for sure that I will never forget this place.
