К ним относятся ГЛАГОЛЫ: can, may, must, ought, need. Инфинитив, с которыми модальные глаголы, употребляется без частицы to, кроме инфинитиа, который идет за глаголом  ought. Эти глаголы отличаются от других глаголов тем, что они не имеют каких либо ряда форм.
1)Глаголы can и may имеют формы настоящего и времени (could и might), а глаголы must, ought и need имеют только одну форму - настоящего времени

2)Модальные глаголы не имеют неличных форм - инфинитива, герундия и причастия.

3) Модальные глаголы не имеют окончания -s в 3-м лице единственного числа:

Не can do it.

He must do it.

He may do it.
ВОПРОСИТЕЛЬН. И ОТР. ФОРМА
Вопросительная и отрицательная формы модальных глаголов в Present и Past Indefinite образуются без вс глагола to do. В вопросительной форме модальный глагол ставится перед подлежащим:
Can you do it?
Need he do it?
May you do it?
Ought she to do it?
Must you do it?
ОТРИЦАТЕЛЬНАЯ ФОРМА.
В отрицательной форме частица not ставится сразу же после модальнрго глагола. Глагол can и отрицательная частица not в настоящем времени пишутся слитно: cannot.

Не cannot do it.-Он не может этого сделать.

You may not smoke here.- Здесь курить не разрешается.

Модальные глаголы имеют следующие сокращенные отр. формы: can't, mayn't, couldn't, mightn't, needn't, mustn't

Mobile phones in our livesWe live in the time when we are surrounded by various devices. Many people can’t imagine their lives without using a mobile phone. I can say that I’m not an exception too J Maybe 10 years ago they were not so popular. My parents even say that they didn’t have phones and their life was very interesting. But I can’t understand them. Nowadays mobile phones play a vital role in our life, I think so. Many children (even 1st form) ask their parents to buy them mobile devices, saying that everybody in their classes has mobile phones. As for me, I have … (марка телефона). It’s not iPhone 6, but I’m proud of my mobile device. I listen to music, watch videos, and communicate with my friends with the help of mobile. I’m sure it’s difficult to find a pupil who can live without chatting in vkontakte, facebook, viber or posting photos in instagram. I like to make photos (I photo everything I see: delicious food, beautiful nature, unusual thinks; I like to make selfie). I like to speak with my boyfriend (girlfriend) for hours (especially at night). If I forget my phone at home, I feel nervous all day long. I understand that it is not normal, but I can’t do anything with this.
