Punch and Judy is a traditional street puppet theater that originated initially in Italy in the XVII century, and then, at the end of the same century, appeared in the UK[1]. The central characters of the theater are Punch (Pulcinella) and his wife Judy. [2] The performances of this theater are short scenes, usually no more than three minutes in length. In each of the scenes related to the genre of buffoonery, two characters take part — Punch and some other, different from him in character. The action is designed in such a way that the audience can join in or leave the performance after each episode — this is due to the street character of the performance.
