Matthew Abram Groening MFA; February 15, 1954, Portland, Oregon), better known as Matt Groening — is an American animator, Creator, creative consultant, and Executive producer of the Simpsons and Futurama animated series.
The pronunciation of his last name was repeatedly disputed both in the United States and in other countries. In Russia, the pronunciation of "Groening" is widespread, but the animator himself insists that his last name rhymes with the word "complaining", which he mentioned in one of his comics and in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine. In the series The simpsons, where he appears, his last name is pronounced "Groening".
Biography
Matthew Abram Groening was born on February 15, 1954, the third of five children of animator, Director, screenwriter, and advertising Executive Homer Groening and former teacher Margaret Groening.
